Emma's Story

Whilst training for a triathlon event Emma was knocked off her bike by motorist and suffered head injuries as a consequence. Emma underwent emergency life saving surgery and on discharge from hospital was faced with a number of challenges in relation to both her work and home life. As a mother with young children, and working in a high pressure job, it was essential to Emma that all aspects of her injury were fully explored. Initially arguments were raised alleging contributory fault on Emma's part however these were successfully overcome.

Medical evidence was obtained from a number of different experts including a neurologist and audiologist amongst others. Thankfully with the appropriate support in place Emma proceeded to make a good recovery from her injuries however was allowed the time to enable a clear prognosis before settling her claim on a full liability basis. Interim payments were secured during the process to enable appropriate treatment on a private basis and to re-imburse out of pocket losses.

"The personal service and quick responses to any questions helped to keep me assured throught the claim. Regular communication regarding my case keeping me updated also was of huge benefit. The genuine interest into understanding how the accident had impacted mine and my family's life was above and beyond what I was expecting".

"Sound solid and in MY best interests advice relating to the case was also appreciated to ensure (in my slightly confused state at times) that I made the best decision for me".
