Charitable Support

At City Lawyers we are committed to charities which provide support to injured people and bereaved families through donation, pro bono work and personal involvement. Many of our clients and their families benefit from the support provided by charities following a fatal or serious accident, including those listed below. We are interested in working with similar charities, so if you are a charity looking to establish new links please contact either Louise Robson or Virginia Ralfe.

Rennie Grove Make a Will Month
For many years our solicitors have teamed up with Rennie Grove Hospice Care to offer a will writing service during Make a Will Month. City Lawyers waive our fee for writing a standard will in return for a donation to Rennie Grove Hospice Care. The suggested donation is £99 for a single standard will and £195 for a standard joint will (or mirror will) for couples. Please contact Louise Stradling on 01727 228890 to get involved and support this vital local charity. Please note that trusts and complex wills are excluded from this offer.

The Spinal Injuries Association
The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is the leading national charity for spinal cord injured people. Its mission is to support people affected by spinal cord injury and to advise, educate and campaign on all aspects of the condition. We’ve supported the organisation in a variety of ways including monetary donations, and City Lawyers’ co-director Louise Robson even ran the London Marathon in support of the SIA, raising more than £4,000.00 in sponsorship. Click here for more information on the SIA’s outstanding work.

Road Victims Trust
The Road Victims Trust was founded in 1995 to support bereaved families of loved ones killed in road collisions and those people who have survived with life changing injuries, who are resident in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. We have helped families by providing representation at coroner's inquest and also given charitable donations. Find out more about the organisation’s work here.

Aspire
Founded in 1982, Aspire supports people who have suffered a spinal injury by providing practical support including advice and assistance in relation to housing, independent living and rehabilitation. We are fortunate that the Aspire Leisure Centre, based on the grounds of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, is local to a number of our clients who have benefited from these excellent facilities. City Lawyers’ monetary donations to Aspire have help fund rehabilitative equipment. More information on Aspire can be found here.
